Deficiencies

New growth is distorted and curled, with brown necrotic spots on leaf tips and edges. Roots become stunted and fruit may develop blossom end rot.

Looks like this

  • Curled, distorted new growth
  • Brown necrotic spots on leaf tips and edges
  • Blossom end rot on fruiting plants

Solve it with Vitaponix

How to fix it

  • Supplement with a chelated Cal-Mg product
  • Improve transpiration with steady airflow and moderate humidity
  • Check and balance the rest of the nutrient profile

Why it happens

  • Low calcium in the feed (especially in coco and RO water setups)
  • High humidity reducing transpiration and Ca movement
  • Excess potassium or magnesium causing antagonism

Prevent it

  • Always use a Cal-Mg supplement when growing in coco or with RO water
  • Follow the official feeding chart humidity targets for each flowering week
  • Keep airflow strong over the canopy
