Deficiencies

Interveinal chlorosis appears on older leaves first, with yellowing between the veins while veins stay green. Leaves may develop reddish-purple tints and drop prematurely.

Looks like this

  • Interveinal yellowing on older leaves first
  • Reddish-purple tints on leaf margins
  • Premature leaf drop in severe cases

Solve it with Vitaponix

How to fix it

  • Supplement with Epsom salt (1g/L) or a Cal-Mg product
  • Check and balance pH within 5.8–6.3 (official chart)
  • Reduce excess potassium if it's the cause

Why it happens

  • Low magnesium in the feed or substrate
  • High potassium or calcium levels causing antagonism
  • Low pH (below 5.5) limiting Mg uptake

Prevent it

  • Include a balanced Cal-Mg supplement in coco and hydro setups
  • Maintain stable pH and EC
  • Use a base nutrient with adequate magnesium
