PhotoPests
Tiny arachnids that feed on plant cells, causing stippling and yellowing of leaves. They produce fine silk webbing and thrive in hot, dry conditions.
Looks like this
- Tiny pale dots (stippling) on leaves
- Fine silken webbing between leaves and stems
- Bronzed or yellowing leaves that drop prematurely
Solve it with Vitaponix
Our nutrients don't kill pests or mould — they keep plants strong while you follow the fix below.
How to fix it
- Rinse plants with a strong water spray, focusing on leaf undersides
- Apply neem oil or insecticidal soap every 3–4 days for two weeks
- Release predatory mites such as Phytoseiulus persimilis
Why it happens
- Hot (>27°C) and dry (<40% RH) conditions
- Dusty leaves and stagnant air
- Infestation carried in on clones or clothing
Prevent it
- Keep humidity above 50% and temperatures moderate
- Quarantine all new plants for at least a week
- Wipe down leaves regularly to remove dust
Doses and targets come from the official Vitaponix feeding chart. Vitaponix nutrients are plant nutrition, not pesticides or fungicides.
